January 2017 Makeup & Beauty Favorites

Hello!

Can you believe that January has come and gone already?!? This past month I've branched out and tried a bunch of new products; I figured since it's a new year and I always use the same products month after month that I would go on a hunt for some new things. And I have come to love a lot of them.

In late December early January my face had a bad breakout I don't know what happened if it was just a bad time for my skin or maybe all the chocolate and sweets I ate over the holidays or what. So I've been looking for some good and affordable acne products; along with a medium to high coverage foundation to cover up the blemishes.

So here are a few of the things I've been loving.

Neutrogrna Oil-Free Acne Wash | This stuff is a really good face wash. I use it a few times a week since it's a scrub and I have sensitive skin. The only downside are the fine scrub particles; they are hard to get off. So make sure they are all off before applying makeup or going to bed. Available at Walmart or Target

O.R.G Skincare Mineral Peel Face | I received this face peel in a FabFitBox; I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise but now that I have tried it I would order it again for sure. I don't know if it has or hasn't helped with my breakouts or not but it has made my skin feel super soft. Available at O.R.GSkincare.com

Marrakesh Hair Oil | I don't overly buy hair products because most of the time I just use a few simple things. But Marrakesh has some amazing hair products. This oil is amazing. It makes your hair feel and look amazing and not only that it smells wonderful. I use it on slightly damp hair and then blow dry it. Available at Marrakeshhaircare.com

Urban Decay All nighter Spray | I've been looking for a primer or setting spray to help keep my makeup looking flawless. Having been a huge UD fan for years I thought why not give this a try. And so I did, it's amazing. I'm obsessed with this stuff. I thought I'd only use it on nights out and special occasions but it makes my makeup look so nice that I use it everyday. Available at Sephora or Ulta

Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation | This stuff is incredible! The texture and application is great. It has medium to full coverage. And feels great on my skin. I've been using this foundation for almost a month and it's amazing. I think I've finally found the perfect foundation. Available at Walmart or Target

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer | The beauty community has raved about this product since it came out but since it says age rewind I guess I just never really thought about it. It never hurts to start using age rewinding products and recently I've been fighting dark circles due to lack of good sleep; and this stuff has been a life saver. It's a must under eye concealer. Available at Walmart or Target

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick | My favorite lipsticks are liquid lipsticks. They last amazingly and don't smudge like regular lipsticks. So when I received this beautiful lipstick as a gift from my cousin I was so excited. I've heard many good things about Anastasia but never used anything from the brand. This color is called Sad Girl, It's a metallic black cherry. It has shimmer and sparkle! It's the prettiest color and finish of a lipstick I've ever seen. Available at Sephora

So that's what I've been loving this month. I hope you maybe found some new products to give a try. This year I want to try more things instead of sticking to the same things all the time. Hopefully this will be a new feature on my blog and I hope it's something you all like.

What are your favorites from this month?
