Splurge vs Steal: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner vs Rimmel London Scandale Eyes Liner

Hello!

My favorite Beauty vlogger/blogger Fleur De Force has talked about these two products multiple times and just recently again in a video. Saying they are the same just at two different price points. The Rimmel London one is the perfect dupe for Urban Decay's 24/7 liner.

I have been a faithful user of 24/7 liner by Urban Decay for years. They have a great Black (Perversion) and really fun bright colors as well. They are a gel like texture in a stick. After hearing many times about Rimmel Scandaleyes and finally happening to spot it walking through the makeup isle I thought for $3 and some change I'd give it a go. And WOW I am glad that I did. It apply's like Butter! I don't know if its because it's brand spanking new or if the formulation is just that good.

The smudge test was equal in lasting power for the most part. Rimmel smudges where Urban Decay flakes. Now my Urban Decay liner that I swatched was a lot older than the Rimmel so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Both products are nearly equal in formulation. Neither look much different in color. I'd say that the Rimmel has a bit more shine than the other. And glides on slightly nicer but then again that could be just because of the age difference. Now I'm not saying that from now on I will only be purchasing the Rimmel because it's cheaper and does pretty much the same. Urban Decay has many more color choices. But if you are looking for a product like the 24/7 liner and you don't want to pay $19.00 I recommend trying the Rimmel for just around $4.00.

Urban Decay Pros:

100% Cruelty Free

Rimmel Pros:

Animal testing does accrue in Countries where the law makes ingredients be tested on Animals. Places such as China. Now in America the Rimmel products you buy will never be tested on animals. But in other country where it is law they do allow them to test on animals. Read more on the policy here.

4 stars ★★★★

I recommend both these products 100%. I do like Urban Decay's animal testing policy better.
