My Top Road Trip Essentials

Hello, Lovelies

Next week I am going on a rather long road trip to Jackson Hole, Wy. from my home in Colorado. The trip will be around 8+ hours. On a long road trip you can become tired and bored. So I've but together my list of must haves for the trip to keep you entertained and ready for anything that comes across your path.

These are in no order.

Camera

I'll be bringing my Canon Rebel EOS t3i, but any point & shoot will do. You never know what you might come across on your journey.

Wet Wipes/hand sanitizer

When on a long trip it's inevitable that you're going to have to stop at a rest area, gas station or truck stop to use the restroom and who knows if  they have soap to clean your hands and even If they did by the time you get back to your vehicle you'll have touched many germ ridden surfaces. I like Wet Ones Antibacterial Travel Wipes best.

Magazines or Book

Sorry for the bad iphone picture.

Over the past month I've been saving all my magazines so that I'll have something to look at. Another nice thing to have is a book but for me I can't read very well in the car because it gives me a headache. So I'll just look through my magazines.

Map/or Smart phone.

"Not all who wander are lost."

Sometimes life can be more interesting if you don't take the path that is always followed but in the case of a road trip with a planned destination it's good to have a map to know how to get from point A. to point B.

Snacks

Nuts, Dried fruit or trail mix. Something to snack on. To tell the truth my snacks probably wont be this healthy. Lets face it I'll be munching on chips and a diet Pepsi. ;)

Music

When traveling you might not always have a good signal to pick up the closet radio station. So it's a must to bring either your Ipod or CDS.

Small padded Cooler

Cutest cooler I've ever seen. Available at Sprouts San Fransisco

Depending on the length and heat it is your going to get thirsty. So bring a small cooler.
Also great for packing a sandwich that way if you get hungry in the middle of nowhere you'll be set.

These are just a few of my must have road trip essentials. I'd love to hear in the comments what yours are.

Love,
Emily
