The Wild West: My Weekend Trip To Wyoming

Hello, Lovelies

This past Friday,Saturday & Sunday I spent with my Mom & Dad in/near Fox Park, Wyoming in the middle of nowhere.

We went their because this is where my Dad used to go on "Boy's Tips" with his friends camping & four wheeling, Because they have a lot of nice trails.
So my mother and I said we'd come along. Let me start off by saying my Mom and I aren't "Real Campers" we go in a camper. We like to see nature without getting to up close and personal, with that be said we pretty much have to have some sort of bed and toilet.
Now don't get me wrong I love nature! I just like being able to enjoy it without sleeping on the cold hard ground.

When we first arrived Friday Morning we were shocked. More than half of the forest was DEAD. I couldn't believe my eyes. It looked like the apocalypse had happened, It was so sad I almost started to cry. All most all of the trees were either standing up dead or lying on the ground. Killed by Pine beetles. My Dad had knew that some of the trees had been affected but he had no idea it was going to be as bad as it was.

Here are some photos I took.

The view from our camp.

All the trees that look a Grayish-Red/Brown are dead :(

With all this being said we still managed to have a nice time.

Here is some of our happy photos.

 Esme running around having fun.
Pretty blue mountain wild flowers.
 Old Pioneer cabin.
Me in the cabin.
Mr. Fox
&
Mr. Moose

With the sadness of the trees dying we were still able to enjoy our time their. I don't think I'd ever want to go back. It was to sad. Seeing all the animals made up for it. Looking for Moose is my favorite thing to do when going camping and I seen 6 or at least I seen moose on six different occasions, some of them may have been the same just different times & days.

If you are looking for a wild west mountain experience I recommend looking else where unless you like spending time in a depressing forest. The sad part this was the nicer looking area.

Have any of you been to this area before?

Love,Emily
