Happy May Day 2013 ???

Happy May Day!

 

 

 

Or at least I thought today was supposed to be May day, But As I'm writing this and looking out my window I'm not sure that's the case. The local schools are having a snow day, And my front lawn is covered with 7+ inches of snow. Can you believe it really is May as of today? Because I'm not sure I can.

 

This is what my neck of the woods look like on this so called "First Day Of May"

 

 

See this doesn't resemble May 1st all that much does it? I guess this is what happens when you live in Colorado. Monday it was hot very HOT 79 degrees hot. And now we have snow on the ground and in the air. My Dad tells us year after year that snow is from Halloween until after his birthday May 5th (Cinco De Mayo,this Sunday) so hopefully this will be the last snow fall of the season. Because I am ready to plant flowers and see green leaves on the trees. Also I'm really hoping that my rhubarb plant Is okay because I didn't cover it. So lets hope it makes it through this heavy wet spring snow storm. -Fingers Crossed-
